Current Forecast- Windy and Cold, some rain then showers later Wednesday
A cold cloudy and damp night ahead with a front moving south bringing patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Feeling colder as the winds start to pick up adding a windchill affect but temps too high for any snow to fall tonight.
Wednesday will be a windy and cold day, some lingering rain will clear off southeastwards with brighter skies following on behind. Showers will occur along northern and some western counties with one or two of hail with sleet falling over higher ground. Temps between 5 to 8C but feeling much colder in the strong north to northwest wind. Winds will veer north to northeast later with some showers affecting eastern counties later Wednesday evening and night of hail or sleet. With the strength of the wind, frost may occur in sheltered parts of the south midlands and southwest under clear skies. Lows of 0 to 3C
Thursday will be bright and mainly dry with winds falling light and backing north to northwest. High pressure will start to dominate bringing cold crisp days with sharp to severe frosts overnight leading to icy roads in places. This setup may continue for the remainder of the week and into the weekend with rainfall and air temps below normal for the time of year.%] Forecast Archive
